Apple has announced that its eagerly anticipated large productivity slate, the iPad Pro, will become available to purchase online and in retail stores this week, with online orders opening on November 11.
Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing described early reaction to the tablet as “incredible”, adding: “iPad Pro is the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made, giving users the ability to be even more creative and more productive with the epic 12.9-inch Retina display, powerful 64-bit A9X chip and groundbreaking Apple Pencil and new Smart Keyboard.”
The iPad Pro and optional accessories the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard will all become available to order through Apple’s website on Wednesday, while Apple Stores, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers will also begin offering the tablet at an as-yet-unspecified point later this week.
The iPad Pro, pictured above alongside the smaller iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4, will launch in over 40 countries and be priced from $799 to $1,079 in the US.
