Apple has reportedly scrapped plans to release a smaller version of its upcoming iPhone 13.
For years, consumers have been asking for a high-end iPhone in a smaller size, like an iPhone SE without the home button, and last year the company delivered with a 5G-enabled iPhone 12 mini.
Although the device was met with overwhelming praise from consumers and technology critics, it now seems the model has been discontinued.
The 5.4-inch smartphone was hoped to become a permanent fixture to Apple’s iPhone lineup, but according to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company has reportedly abandoned plans for a new mini model.
According to his notes, Apple will release 6-inch and 6.7-inch Pro devices, as well as a low-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch model.
The news follows reports that Apple has struggled to sell the iPhone 12 mini – so much so that the company shifted production on the device to alternative iPhone 12 models, like the flagship and the iPhone 12 Pro.
