Apple Send Out Watch Invites?

Apple yesterday sent out invites to a special event at which it’s expected to launch its new smartwatch. The event will be held on March 9th, 2015 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. The company has used this venue for product launches and other special events on a number of occasions.

The tech giant will almost certainly be using the event to launch their new digital wristwear. Although many companies have launched their own smartwatches, experts are hoping that the new device will redefine what we expect from wearable tech. The public is still waiting for more details on the watch, including pricing and the various configurations that will be made available.

The only pricing details that have been made public so far are that the aluminium Sport model will start at $350. However, costs of the regular and luxury Apple Watch Edition are not known. Apple boss Tim Cook has said that the watch will ship in April, although an exact date has not been announced. The Watch is the first brand new Apple product to be launched since the late Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad five years ago.

It’s thought that Apple is to set up special Watch stores.
