Apple Sends Out October 23 Media Invitations

Set all those rumors and speculations aside, because Apple has finally sent out its event invitations to the media. According to their simplistic and unique looking invitations (which you can see a copy of below), the tech giant has “A Little More to Show You.” This announcement comes hot on the heels of growing rumors about Apple’s iPad Mini device. Other rumors have suggested that we will see additional releases, like the company’s new revamped iBooks application.

The event will be held on October 23rd at 10:00 AM PST (Pacific Standard Time) and will take place at the California Theater in San Jose, California. This comes as a small surprise to some media outlets, considering that Apple has been holding its recent unveiling events at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California.

The main event will definitely be Apple’s brand new iPad Mini, with a 7.85 inch high-resolution display, and most likely the upgraded Apple A6 Chip. The current rumor mill suggests that the iPad Mini will carry a lower price point, possibly even dropping as far down as USD $249.99 for the cheapest model. There is also speculation that the device won’t contain any cellular data capabilities and will be tethered strictly to WiFi.

While the iPad Mini is likely the only new device we will see at the event, it doesn’t mean that Apple won’t be talking about some of their other more prominent products. There has been recent web speculation that a new Mac Book upgrade will be seen, focusing on what may become Apple’s thinnest and sleekest notebook to date. There is also question on whether or not we will see an upgrade to the iPad HD, perhaps offering customers a new model that features a 4G cellular upgrade, as well as inclusion of the tech giants brand new A6 processor.
