Apple Set to Open Larger Office in Miami’s Coral Gables

Coral Gables Miami

Coral Gables, Miami

According to a Bloomberg report citing sources familiar with the matter, Apple is poised to establish a new office space spanning 45,000 square feet in the prosperous Coral Gables area of Miami. This development marks a significant expansion from Apple’s current Miami operations, which are housed in a smaller office space dedicated primarily to Latin American and advertising endeavors.

The new office’s precise focus within Apple’s array of business activities remains unspecified. However, its sizeable footprint suggests it could play a pivotal role in the tech giant’s operations. The chosen location for Apple’s upcoming office is The Plaza Coral Gables, a high-end commercial complex that already houses notable tenants, including the financial planning firm Raymond James.

The move is reminiscent of expansion moves by other significant tech players such as Microsoft and Amazon, further cementing the reputation of Miami as a key tech hub.

This expansion comes in the wake of Apple’s decision to discontinue several projects and lay off hundreds of employees across various departments, including those involved in the Apple Car initiative, Siri development in San Diego, and Micro-LED technology in Santa Clara.

In addition to expanding its office space, Apple is embarking on another significant project in Miami by opening a new Apple Store at Worldcenter, with an investment of $4 billion.

This move indicates Apple’s commitment to increasing its footprint and influence in the Miami area, signaling a robust growth trajectory in the region’s tech landscape.
