Apple has debuted two new ads that draw attention to features on the iPhone 13, in addition to releasing a short film marking Chinese New Year that was shot entirely with an iPhone 13 Pro.
The ads are designed to show off some of the latest iPhone’s features, such as its more generous battery life and the Ceramic Shield glass’s durability.
Ad number one, named “Run Baby Run”, highlights Ceramic Shield by demonstrating that even if your iPhone ends up in the hands of your kid, it is better protected against drops than prior iPhone models. It is worth bearing in mind, though, that Ceramic Shield does not boost an iPhone’s resistance to scratches – only drops.
The second ad, with the title “Doin’ Laps”, showcases the battery life of the iPhone 13. During the ad, a child sets up his iPhone on his bike, to record himself cruising around his neighbourhood. Five hours later, the phone is still recording his journey.
As well as the above iPhone 13 promotions, Apple shared a 23-minute short film shot entirely on an iPhone 13 Pro. The film was created in celebration of Chinese New Year, but also shows off the device’s stunning Cinematic mode, which allows the user to shoot cinema-grade footage.
Cinematic mode is available on the iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 mini; those wishing to use it should also check that they have the latest version of iOS.
