The Sports app, launched by Apple in February, has become a central hub for sports enthusiasts, providing scores, schedules, statistics, and live play-by-play updates for leagues including the NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, and the Premier League.
In anticipation of the NBA and NHL playoffs, which kick off on Saturday, April 20, Apple announced an update designed to enrich the playoff experience.
The update promises to offer “added details on each series and more,” although changes were not immediately noticeable post-update. It is expected that these enhancements will become evident as the playoffs commence.
Previously, the app already included features such as playoff matchups and conference standings. With this update, users anticipate a more detailed and immersive experience.
Apple Sports remains available at no cost on the App Store, continuing to serve as a comprehensive resource for sports fans worldwide.
