Apple store employees celebrate Earth Day with green shirts

Apple Earth Day

Starting this week, Apple Store employees are celebrating Earth Day by ditching their traditional navy shirts for green alternatives, and it looks like the green shirts are here to stay for a few weeks.

From as early as today, Friday, April 13 employees can be spotted in their new uniforms. The change in uniform in support of Earth Day comes just days after Apple announced they are now completely powered by renewable energy worldwide. This includes their retail stores, offices, data centers and more in 43 countries. It is likely Apple will be releasing the full 2018 Environmental Responsibility Report around Earth Day, highlighting their commitment to renewable energy.

As Earth Day is not until Sunday, April 22, it is likely the shirts will be seen in stores across the world for a few weeks. New photos have emerged today from a tipster, who asked to be identified as The Apple Post.

Apple has also previously celebrated by adding a green leaf accent to the Apple logos and it is likely this will do so again this year. Apple has also previously offered an Earth Day activity challenge on Apple Watch, a video series, playlists and featured App Store apps.
