Apple to launch iPhone SE Plus in April alongside new AirPods Pro

Apple is reportedly planning to release a new iPhone SE this April.

The news comes from reliable Japanese blog Mac Otakara, which last week shared information on the iPhone 13, as well as planned updates to the iPad, iPad mini, and iPad Pro.

According to their insiders, Apple is planning to launch the next version of its popular iPhone SE during an April event, with information coming directly from suppliers in China.

The company will also drop a second-generation AirPods Pro product following on from the success of the original AirPods Pro, and indeed the rest of the now-growing AirPods family.

Apple has made slight design tweaks to its AirPods Pro charging case, which will remain 21mm thick but feature a narrower chassis. We don’t know for certain what this means, but it has previously been reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman that Apple would reduce the size of the stem on the AirPods Pro for a more discreet design and to “fill more of the ear”.

A third-generation iPhone SE is also likely to surface, with some reports suggesting that Apple will drop a new Plus-size variant of the device to accommodate those who prefer larger screens. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple planned to release this phone in the second half of 2021, but due to the success of 2020’s SE, it has been brought forward.
