Fans of Apple down under will be popping tinnies and throwing shimp on the barbie in celebration of the news that Apple is about to launch another revamped physical store in the country.
The Apple Robina store is opening this weekend in the suburb of the Gold Coast, Queensland in a brand new retail expansion. This is on the back of the first new contemporary design concept store opening in Chadstone , Melbourne last year.
The new Robina Town Centre store will be in a different space in the same mall and will be open at 9:00am local time. There will be an increased focus on Today at Apple sessions which focus on a different topic each day and teach users how to get more out of their Apple devices including editing images and videos.

There will also be a new Video Wall, Forum Seating and Avenues within the store completing the space so it will be identical to the Chadstone store. The original Robina store which opened in May 2009 and was only Apple’s fourth in the whole country will close permanently on Friday evening.
Apple Store remodeling projects are commonplace in the United States but are quite a rarity in Australia. The Chadstone store was the first to receive the treatment two years after the initial vision and announcement were made public.
The Remodeled stores and enhanced customer experience will be important for Apple going ahead in the country as Australian consumers have been feeling a little left behind.
This will be a busy Saturday for apple with other stores having their grand opening including Apple Green Hills in Nashville TN and the move of Apple Biltmore to Arizona’s Fashion Square.
