Apple to Report 2016 First Quarter Earnings on January 26

Apple has released various exciting products during the last three months, including the iPad Pro, fourth generation Apple TV and new iMacs. We now know the date when we’ll get more concrete figures about how well those Apple products and various others have fared at retail: Tuesday, January 26.

The Cupertino firm has updated its Investor Relations site to indicate when its earnings call for the first fiscal quarter of 2016 – that’s the fourth calendar quarter of 2015 – will take place. We can realistically expect the earnings release to occur shortly after 4.30pm Eastern Time, once regular stock trading has closed, while the conference call should start at 5pm Eastern Time.

It will also be interesting to see how many iPhones has shifted during this quarter, the first full quarter that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have been on sale. It is even possible that Apple will crack out the first clear sales figures for the Apple Watch, though this is far from a foregone conclusion.

The holiday season is obviously routinely especially lucrative for the Cupertino company, but Apple can still feel confident of meeting the inevitably very high expectations of investors.
