On Tuesday, Apple updated its investor relations page to confirm that it would release its earnings figures for the first fiscal quarter of 2022 (fourth calendar quarter) on Thursday, January 27.
The first-quarter earnings call will provide an indication of how well such devices as the iPhone 13, AirPods 3, and M1 Pro and Max MacBooks sold over the course of the holiday quarter up to December.
Apple’s revenue for 2021’s fourth fiscal quarter was lower than expected, which Apple CEO Tim Cook stated at the time was due to supply constraints affecting iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
Those supply problems – partly brought about by chip shortages – supposedly cost Apple about $6 billion, and it is thought that they will continue to have an impact on the Cupertino firm’s first-quarter earnings results.
The quarterly earnings statement will be unveiled at 1:30pm Pacific/4:30pm Eastern, followed by a conference call discussing the report at 2:00pm Pacific/5:00pm Eastern.
Once again, Apple did not provide guidance for the first fiscal quarter of 2022.
