The international Emmy Award-winning global espionage thriller, Tehran, is set to return for an even more enthralling and nail-biting third season. Last year, the addition of veteran actress Glenn Close brought the series to new heights, and for 2023, multi-Emmy Award nominee Hugh Laurie is joining the cast. The popular show follows Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan, played by Niv Sultan, as she infiltrates Tehran under a false identity.
Laurie will play Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector, and will star alongside Sultan, as well as returning stars Shaun Toub and Shila Ommi, and new additions Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars, and Phoenix Raei. The highly anticipated third season is now in production, and is being created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin.
Season two of Tehran received critical acclaim, with viewers praising its nail-biting suspense and thrilling action. As Tamar (Niv Sultan) faces the loss of her closest allies and must find a way to win back Mossad’s support if she is to survive, the addition of Laurie is sure to bring even more depth and excitement to the series.
