The video you saw just above is the debut trailer for Apple TV’s show SEE, i.e., its second season, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on August 27, 2021. The show stars Jason Momoa as Baba Voss, a skilled warrior and leader of the Alkenny tribe. Momoa is going to be joined by Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) in the show’s second season, which colored us excited, as the two powerhouse actors are set to clash one against the other in the show’s second season.
Apple TV+ summarized SEE in the following manner: “In the far future, humankind has lost its sense of sight. Jason Momoa stars as the father of twins born with the mythic ability to see – who must protect his tribe against a threatened queen. Alfre Woodard also stars.”
Despite a pretty diverse cast, Jason Momoa headlines the show and his excellent talent is what attracted so many fans to Apple’s show. Ben Travers of IndieWire, who gave a very positive review of the whole show, described Momoa’s character as “an unmatched, but reluctant warrior who befriends, courts, and marries a newcomer to town, all before the series begins. You see, Baba always wanted kids, but he couldn’t have them, and Maghra (Hera Hilmar) walked into the village already pregnant — coupling up was their destiny… even if it sounds like a relationship based on convenience.”
The show itself currently consists of an eight-episode first season, whose story is going to be continued in the second season. SEE builds on its narrative slower than some other shows, but based on the trailer, season two promises to be quite thrilling and entertaining.
We can also confirm that SEE has already been renewed for a third season, which is probably going to premiere in 2022 or 2023. Until the second season hits Apple TV+ be sure to check out the acclaimed first season of this great show and enjoy!
