The Cupertino, California company announced the iWork suite had been updated with new features across both macOS and iOS, designed to help users get more done on the go and at home. Apple says that the new tools make keynote more โ€œengagingโ€, whilst Pages is now โ€œeasier than everโ€ to use with the ability to view complex elements like tables on your iPhone.

Speaking of the launch, Bob Borchers, Appleโ€™s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said: โ€œWhether they are in the office, at school, or working remotely, users around the world love Keynote, Pages, and Numbers for their powerful features, ease of use, and seamless experience across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Today, weโ€™re adding even more power and capability to these apps with new productivity and collaboration features that enable anyone to create more personal and compelling presentations, make working with documents on iPhone a breeze, and bring full-featured pivot tables to mobile for the first time.โ€

Keynote

Apple has given Keynote some love, and now uses the front-facing camera on iPhone, iPad, and Mac to allow users to add live video inside of their presentations, so users can appear alongside their content. Itโ€™s ideal for lectures, how-to videos, and presentations on video conferencing apps, and once again helps Apple to catch up to the likes of Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint โ€“ both already offer these features. Users can even show the screen of their iPhone or iPad right on the side for interactive demos.

Pages

In the latest Pages update, Apple has acknowledged that consumers are increasingly reading documents on their phones, and as such, has updated the iOS app to accommodate elements ina. single-column, continuous flow so you no longer need to pinch and zoom in and out to read content on the go. Apple has enlarged the text, allows for horizontal scrolling, and Screen View is available for all word processing documents.

Numbers

Apple has also made changes to Numbers, making it easier to read and gain insights, and visualize their pivot tables with insightful charts, share pivot data with others while keeping the source data private, and even import or export pivot tables to and from Microsoft Excel.  Apple brings full-featured pivot tables to Numbers for the first time, which it says is the first app of its kind to do so, making it even more useful.
