Apple Vision Pro Set for China Release Later This Year

Apple Vision Pro Headset

This is a significant milestone in Apple’s expansion strategy, with China being the first confirmed market outside the United States for the highly anticipated device.

During a session at the China Development Forum in Beijing, Tim Cook revealed Apple’s plans to launch the Vision Pro headset in China within the year.

This declaration underscores Apple’s commitment to deepening its research and development endeavors within the country. The news emerged following Cook’s visit to Apple’s latest retail store in Shanghai’s Jing’an district, highlighting the company’s ongoing investment and interest in the Chinese market.

The introduction of the Vision Pro in China signifies Apple’s first formal acknowledgment of the device’s availability in a market outside of the United States, set to occur later in 2024.

Although Apple has hinted at broader international availability following the initial launch, details regarding specific countries and timelines remained undisclosed until now.

The announcement aligns with predictions from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who last month suggested that the Vision Pro could see a global rollout preceding the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), traditionally held in early June.

This move by Apple indicates a strategic approach to not only cement its presence in the tech-savvy Chinese market, but also to signal the global ambitions of its latest innovative offering.
