Australia was in the first wave of countries to get the Apple Watch in April, and the wearable’s availability Down Under will soon expand a little further, as the national retail chain Harvey Norman has announced that it will be available at its store in Auburn, New South Wales from tomorrow.
It will be possible to visit the store at 250 Parramatta Road to see, try on and purchase Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models. However, the page of Harvey Norman’s website announcing the news is pretty cryptic; what little information it contains indicates that the Apple Watch Edition will not be among the Auburn store’s stock of models, and makes no mention of any further Harvey Norman stores receiving the Apple Watch.
In fact, the prominent display of a banner reading ‘Available at Harvey Norman Auburn 15.08.15’ suggests that availability of the Apple Watch might not be extended to other stores run by the company for some time, if at all. Nonetheless, Auburn-based Apple fans are likely to appreciate the new opportunity to sample different versions of the watch before splashing any cash.
