Apple Watch Series 7 could be in larger 41mm and 45mm sizes

Apple’s next Watch could be sold in a slightly different form factor to accommodate new features.

The new Apple Watch Series 7, which could be announced in just over a week’s time, will come in larger 41mm and 45mm case sizes, a difference of one millimetre from the current 40mm and 44mm sizes, according to the Chinese social networking platform Weibo.

User UnclePan shared the information on a post, suggesting that the new model will be sold in 41mm and 45mm case sizes. This is larger than the current Apple Watch Series 4, and much larger than the previous 38mm and 42mm case sizes that were used on the Series 3 and below.

One of the benefits of the Apple Watch is that users have been able to use the same bands as their previous models, and although Apple will likely add a small amount of screen space to the next device, we’re hoping that it will still offer compatibility with older Apple Watch bands.

Apple is expected to introduce an all-new design for the Apple Watch this year, inspired by the new iPhone 12 and iMac 2021 design language. There will be smaller bezels and a new flat-edge design, which will offer a better surface area for the display. Apple will also introduce a new green color.

Apple is widely expected to announce the new Apple Watch Series 7 at an Apple Event next month, alongside the iPhone 13, AirPods 3, new MacBook Pros, and an overhauled Mac mini with a new look.
