Apple Watch to Arrive in South Africa on October 23

According to Apple’s website for South Africa, the Apple Watch will get its retail launch in the country on October 23.

Apple has not revealed any details of how much different models of the Apple Watch will cost in South Africa. However, the website hints that Apple’s South African customers will be able to choose from a wide range of faces and bands, including gold and rose gold models, from launch.

The website also details the exciting new features of watchOS 2, which was recently released as a free download for Apple Watch owners worldwide. We wouldn’t be too surprised to see this new OS preinstalled on Apple Watch models in South Africa, though there has been no confirmation of this.

Apple does not run its own retail stores in the country – but, judging from the release strategy with the Apple Watch elsewhere, the wearable will likely first become available for purchase through Apple’s website before expanding to Apple Authorized Resellers in South Africa.
