Apple will release its long-awaited AirTags tracking tiles, the next-generation AirPods, and a new augmented reality device before the end of the year, according to insider Ming-Chi Kuo.

In Kuo’s first report of the year, the reliable analyst has suggested that the company will release new product categories in 2021, specifically the company’s long-awaited AirTags.

We have known about the Tile-like tracker for more than a year, with code spotted in iOS 13 betas, but the company has so far remained coy on the release of such a device. Now, it seems like Apple is finally ready to lift the lid on AirTags, releasing in the first half of the year.

Kuo has also suggested that Apple will drop its first augmented reality device this year, and though we don’t know exactly what that means, we’ve previously heard that the company was planning to release an “early version” of its Apple Glass concept, that would link to users’ iPhones and allow them to interact with content through a pair of AR lenses.

Other revelations from Kuo include the rest of the Mac lineup moving over to M1 chips, as well as new mini LED displays for iPad Pro and Mac models. Apple will also release brand new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with a new-look design, according to Kuo.

His report also suggests that next-generation AirPods will be released before the end of the year, with a third-generation model that sports the same design as the AirPods Pro.
