Another day, another Apple device problem.
For the second time this week, Apple has issued a statement saying it is working to fix a problem with one of the devices in its fall lineup of new products.
This time, the Cupertino, Calif., company is dealing with the new version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina laptop.
“Apple is aware of rare circumstances where the built-in keyboard and Multi-Touch trackpad may become unresponsive on 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display (Late 2013) computers and is working on an update to resolve this behavior,” the company posted online.
Until the update is released, Apple suggests that users who encounter the problem simply shut the laptop and leave it closed for about a minute and then reopen it.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina went on sale Oct. 22. It offers a longer lasting battery than its predecessor and costs $200 less, starting at $1,299.
Apple this week also acknowledged a manufacturing issue in some of the iPhone 5s units it has sold that causes them to take a long time to recharge and also reduces their battery life.
The company said it would replace customers’ defective phones with new Apple smartphones.
