Like most U.S. retailers, Apple is offering its customers Black Friday deals, but customers might want to skip them.
The Cupertino, Calif., tech giant is offering customers store gift cards with their purchases. The value of the gift card varies depending on the product customers buy.
Users who purchase any Mac computer will receive a $150 gift card while customers who purchase an iPad Air will receive a $75 gift card. For those who get an iPad 2, an iPad mini or an iPod Touch, Apple will throw in a $50 gift card. Lastly, customers who purchase an iPod nano will receive a $25 gift card.
Noticeably, Apple is not giving customers any gift cards if they purchase any iPhone or the iPad mini with Retina high-resolution display.
Of course, Apple doesn’t normally toss in gift cards with the purchase of its products, but other retailers are offering better deals on Apple’s products.
For example, customers looking for deals on the iPhone can head to Wal-Mart. The retail giant is offering both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c on discount, while supplies last. The iPhone 5s is available for $189, down from its usual $199 price, while the iPhone 5c is on sale for $45, down from $99. Additionally, Wal-Mart is throwing in a $75 store gift card with the purchase of either device.
Customers looking for an iPad should head to Target. There, the retailer is offering customers who purchase the iPad mini or the iPad mini with Retina display a $75 Target gift card. Customers looking for a full-size iPad get a $100 Target gift card. Additionally, Target is selling the new iPad Air for $479, $20 off its regular price.
And for those looking for discounts on Mac computers instead of gift cards, Best Buy has the best deals. The electronics retailer is offering most Mac computer models at a $150 discount and a few — the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and the 21.5-inch iMac — are available for $200 less than their normal price.
