Apple fans in Belgium could get their hands on the next iPhones and iPads with surprising ease, as it looks like Apple could be about to open its first ever store in the European country on September 19 – possibly just in time for the retail launch of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
As reported by AppleInsider, the Belgian Apple news website Apple Nieuws Vlaanderen was, earlier today, handed a document indicating that a new store under the operation of ‘Apple Retail Belgium’ is scheduled to open on the Gulden-Vlieslaan, a main thoroughfare in the city of Brussels. It might not be mere coincidence that this area does currently include a storefront covered by a black construction façade.
Should Apple indeed open a new retail store there, it could hugely convenience Belgium-based Apple followers – not least because the reported opening date of September 19 could be on or before the release date of the new iPhones widely believed to be unveiled ten days earlier. However, it remains far from a foregone conclusion that people in Belgium, which has never been a first wave launch country for iPhones, could see the new handsets on display in the store from next month.
