Apple’s latest iPad Pro ads showcase AR features and more

After the new iPhone X ad last Thursday, Apple took the opportunity to share two new iPad Pro ads on Friday. These ads highlight the augmented reality capabilities as well as how to take notes with the Apple Pencil.

The most notable part of the ad is how to use the iPad Pro’s AR capabilities to imagine scenes around you. The video (above) shows a young girl taking using AR envision what some new furniture might look like in an outdoor environment.

Apple describes the ad:

With iPad Pro + iOS 11, you can use augmented reality to literally transform the world around you. Your next computer might not be a computer.

The second ad (below), featuring the same girl, continues to highlight the capabilities of the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro. She uses the GoodNotes 4 app to take notes for a school project.

This ad is described:

With iPad Pro + iOS 11, you can use Apple Pencil to create multimedia notes. Draw, type, or drag and drop your favorite photos from Files. Your next computer might not be a computer.

These ads further Apple’s attempts to market the iPad Pro as a PC replacement. Over the past few months, the company has released a slew of adverts that question the benefits of a PC in the days of the iPad Pro – “What’s a computer?”
