Apple’s morning show drama creator leaves

Reese Witherspoon Jennifer Aniston

Apple’s morning show drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon has swapped showrunners after the original creator and showrunner, Jay Carson, left the show due to “creative differences.” This marks the second Apple original show which has lost its original showrunner!

Kerry Ehrin is set to replace Carson on possibly the most highly anticipated of Apple’s new shows. Ehrih, who has worked on Friday Night Lights, Bates Motel, Parenthood, and more, is currently under contract with Universal TV. When this deal ends in Spring, reports suggest she will be signing a contract with Apple.

The still unnamed morning show drama landed at Apple after a competitive bidding situation. The show is set to have two seasons, 20 episodes, initially, and sources suggest Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will be earning more than $1.25 million per episode!

This is not the first original Apple show that has suffered from creative differences. Only in February did we announce that Apple has lost the showrunner for another of their original series. American TV writer and producer, Bryan Fuller, also left Amazing Stories due to “creative differences”.

Exactly what we can expect when the morning show drama is finally aired is still unknown. Let us know your predictions!
