Sim Failure iPhone: 4 Common Reasons and Their Solutions

Apple has officially broadened the scope of its Self Service Repair program, now encompassing the iPhone 15 series and M2 chip-equipped Mac models. This expansion includes various devices such as the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, 15-inch MacBook Air, Mac mini, Mac Pro, and Mac Studio. Alongside this extension, the program is also rolling out to 24 additional European nations, bringing the total to 35 Apple products available for self-repair in 33 countries, supported in 24 languages.

The company also revealed that Apple Diagnostics, a critical component of the Self Service Repair scheme, is now accessible in the U.S. for iPhones and Macs, with plans to extend this service to Europe next year.

This diagnostic tool is particularly useful for individuals with the know-how to undertake Apple device repairs, offering the same testing capabilities as those available to Apple Authorized Service Providers and Independent Repair Providers.

It helps in assessing part functionality and performance, and identifying parts requiring repair.

Launched in 2022, the Self Service Repair program is Apple’s scheme to empower device owners to conduct repairs at home, using genuine Apple parts, detailed repair manuals, and specialized tools.

To utilize this service, customers are advised to first consult the specific repair manual for their product on Apple’s support website. Once they have done this, they can order the necessary parts and tools from the Self Service Repair Store to commence the repair process.

This program represents a step forward in Apple’s commitment to expanding repair access. However, the company advises that most users should still seek professional services for repairs, such as those offered by Apple Stores, to guarantee safe and reliable device restoration.
