Apple has confirmed that its Self Service Repair program is now available in Europe.
The service is rolling out in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the UK, allowing consumers to purchase repair manuals and genuine Apple parts and tools to complete purchases of their iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and MacBooks with Apple silicon chips for the first time.
The Self Service Repair Store, which has been live in the United States for a number of months, lets consumers chase more than 200 individual parts and tools and allow them to repair their own devices.
Speaking of the scheme, Jeff Williams, Appleās chief operating officer, said: “We believe the best technology for our customers and for the planet is technology that lasts, which is why we design our products to be durable and rarely require maintenance or repair.
“But when a repair is needed, we want customers to have many options for safe, reliable, and secure repair. Thatās why weāre excited to launch Self Service Repair in Europe, giving our customers direct access to genuine Apple parts, tools, and manuals.”
