With Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference set to begin on June 13, the company has updated its WWDC app with a new look, support for iPad multitasking features and an Apple TV version.
The WWDC app is intended to help Apple followers and developers to see what’s going on at the event were they unable to attend in person. There’s useful information including start times for various labs, sessions and events, plus maps for different venue spaces.
With this update, the app will allow – on both iOS and tvOS – live streaming of videos from this year’s WWDC. Also, the app can now be used with the Slide Over and Split View – the latter pictured in action at the top of this article – multitasking features on compatible iPads running iOS 9.
Apple has also put in a schedule of sessions that will make up this year’s conference, though many of those sessions’ actual names have been concealed – presumably because they refer to crucial features to be announced at the conference. Apple’s WWDC app can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
