“Great Scott! Quick, Marty – to the theater!” That – well, okay, maybe just something to that effect – is what loads of Back to the Future fans will be exclaiming on October 21, 2015, as it will be on this date that all of the movies in the classic sci-fi adventure trilogy return to theaters.
The films, starring Michael J Fox as time-traveling teenager Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as eccentric scientist “Doc” Brown, remain among the most popular motion pictures of all time. Especially devoted fans of the franchise will know that October 21, 2015 is also the date that Marty travels to in the second film – and it’s certainly fun to judge what, back in the 1980s, the filmmakers did and didn’t predict correctly about the world in 2015.
Universal has not yet revealed much more information about the series’ return to big screens, simply stating: “Check local listings for show times.” However, we would be surprised if seeing all three movies, including the third with its Wild West theme, back-to-back is not made an option.
