Batman Arkham City GOTY Edition Coming To Mac Next Month

If you are a gamer out there whose platform is a Mac, you have a major reason to celebrate. Last year’s blockbuster video game Batman Arkham City, developed by Rock Steady, is being released for Macs next month.

The title is the sequel to the smash hit Batman Arkham Asylum, also developed by Rock Steady. The series has made its mark as the best comic book hero video game series to date. You play as the caped crusader himself, plotted against popular villains such as the Joker and Mr. Freeze.

Mac owners should be happy to know that the Game of The Year Edition will include all of the DLC (downloadable content) at no addition charge, that you had to originally pay extra for. The system requirements and pricing will be announced closer to the actual release date which is rumored to be later in the month.

For those who aren’t up to speed on the franchise, “Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security ‘home’ for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.

“The game features a unique combination of melee combat, stealth, investigative and speed-based challenge gameplay. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.”

Whether you were waiting for this game to release on the Mac platform, or just missed the title for no specific reason, this is your chance to pick up Batman Arkham City with all the extras already included in the price tag.
