If you are a regular passenger of the Bentayga from British luxury car brand Bentley, you can now take control of a wide range of its features and functions from your wrist, thanks to a new Apple Watch app.
Technology underpinned by “bespoke digital architecture” allows Apple Watch users, when being transported in the Bentayga, to remotely control the vehicle’s climate and entertainment systems, tinker with the heating and ventilation of their seats, and keep track of such real-time information as the vehicle’s speed, distance it has travelled and outside temperature.
Dan Whittaker, Bentley’s Director of Electrical and Electronics, has declared: “The Bentayga is technologically advanced and combines this with luxury in a way only Bentley can achieve. This new Apple Watch connectivity is another example of how we are constantly innovating in order to enhance the customer experience.”
The Bentayga TSR app for Apple Watch is, along with the iPhone and iPad apps, free from the iOS App Store. To set up the Bentayga app with the in-car systems, Apple Watch users simply have to synchronize with the Touch Screen Remote system of the Bentayga SUV, which is priced from $229,100.
