Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the next film of the franchise, The Force Awakens – but they won’t be seeing that in theaters until December. So, how can they get their Star Wars fix in the meantime? They can, next month, come along to the annual San Diego Comic Con – which, though always exciting for sci-fi fans, will be especially feeling the Force this year.
The con will take place at the San Diego Convention Center and include a day of Star Wars treats on Friday, July 10. Proceedings will open with a Star Wars Publishing 2015 panel, where authors including Alexandra Bracken and Adam Gidwitz will talk about their stories for young fans.
Later, there will be a panel presented by Hasbro and discussing the latest Star Wars action figures. Some new products will even be revealed at this event, so you could get a little more insight into The Force Awakens – though we apologize if it turns out that these toys include spoilers! The end of the day will see a panel dedicated to visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic’s 40th anniversary. It was during production of the very first Star Wars movie that ILM was formed.
And these are just the events that we actually have the space to mention here! The Force is strong in this one…
