Bob Odenkirk’s ‘Nobody’ is 2021 surprise hit you don’t want to miss!

John Wick is certainly one of the most popular action franchises of our time and Keanu Reeves’ titular character has, in a way, become an icon of contemporary pop culture. But John Wick is not the topic of this article. The topic of this article is the movie Nobody, starring Bob Odenkirk and directed by Ilya Nayshuller, which premiered on March 26, 2021, after having been postponed from its original August 2020 release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nobody is a film that is in many ways similar to John Wick and since it’s available to stream on Apple TV+, we have decided to give you a little recommendation.

The official synopsis for the movie, as present on Apple TV+’s website, states the following: “Hutch is a nobody. As an overlooked and underestimated father and husband, he takes life’s indignities on the chin and never rocks the boat. But when his daughter loses her beloved kitty-cat bracelet in a robbery, Hutch hits a boiling point no one knew he had. What happens when a pushover finally pushes back? Hutch flips from regular dad to fearless fighter by taking his enemies on a wild ride of explosive revenge. The writer of John Wick showcases Emmy® winner Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as fans have never seen him before: an average family man who becomes a lethal vigilante, unlike any ordinary action hero.”

Bob Odenkirk’s action flick received very positive comments from both critics and fans alike, being compared favorably to the John Wick franchise. The movie itself contains several John Wick Easter Eggs and Nayshuller has even hinted that there is an idea about a crossover between his movie and Reeves’ franchise, which would be a great idea if you ask us. Until that happens, be sure to check out Nobody on Apple TV+ and enjoy!
