Boxer Launches on iPad, Announces Integrations with Evernote & Sanebox

Market Leader in Mobile Email Continues to Partner with Leading Technology Platforms

Boxer, the next generation mobile inbox, today announced immediate availability of the Boxer app for Apple’s iPad. Building upon its market lead as an independent, open platform, the company also announced integrations with Evernote and Sanebox.

The launch of Boxer on iPad coincides with the release of the recently announced iPad Air tablet and a fundamental shift in how consumers and professionals interact with e-mail on mobile devices. Users are increasingly turning to mobile devices as their primary means for interacting with email – this year mobile email views surpassed views on desktop and web email clients for the first time.

Adding to its current high-profile list of integrations including Facebook, LinkedIn, Box, and Dropbox, Boxer today adds compatibility with Redwood City, Calif.-based Evernote, which develops a suite of software and services designed for note taking and archiving. Boxer is also integrating with Boston, Mass.-headquartered Sanebox, a cloud service company that identifies the importance of individual emails based on past interactions with your Inbox.

“Email has always been the killer app for mobile,” said Andrew Eye, CEO and Co-Founder of Boxer. “However, device manufactures have failed to innovate in mobile mail. With the next generation of iPad now available, consumers want more than the equivalent of a 1990s mail client on their intelligent mobile devices. Boxer is committed to building out an extensible Inbox platform that provides the kind of plug-in architecture users have come to expect at their desks, now available on all their mobile devices. We are excited to be working with the best technology companies in the world to bring their value to the mobile inbox.”

While stock mobile email applications have remained largely unchanged, the third-party email space has seen tremendous innovation in the past 12 months. Boxer has focused on building an enterprise grade, open platform to facilitate innovation not only from its own internal team, but also from the software and cloud services communities at large.

“Teaming up with Boxer was an easy choice,” said Dmitri Leonov, CEO of Sanebox. “Sanebox’s core technology is very complimentary to Boxer’s mobile email client. Thanks to our partnership we are able to bring the Sanebox experience to millions of iPhone and iPad users all over the world. Boxer’s extensibility and support for Exchange, Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo and every other major mail provider was a big reason for our desire to work with them.”
