App to Make iPhone Battery Run Better, Last Longer via Proprietary Algorithms
It’s time to take the power back. No more flashing low battery indicators or scrambling to find an outlet for your smartphone.
And there’s about to be an app for that.
Credit BuQu Tech’s ChargeSmart Kickstarter campaign, which launched on Oct. 15 at http://kck.st/H1QrLl and runs through Nov. 14. The campaign is aimed at bringing to market, in early 2014, the first smart battery case for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. The ChargeSmart Kickstarter campaign has a funding goal of $55,000.
ChargeSmart promises to more than double the run time of the latest iPhone models while protecting them against everyday hazards like drops, bumps and moisture. Activated by an innovative free app, the case’s proprietary charging algorithms will also extend the life of the phone’s internal battery by as much as 50 percent. Instead of lasting for two years, the iPhone’s internal battery will operate for three. Additionally, the app gives users the ability to reserve a percentage of the battery case’s power that will only be used when activated. This guarantees always having battery power when it is needed for that important call or emergency situation.
“This isn’t just theory – we’ve developed our algorithms by charging and discharging batteries thousands of times,” said Jessie Revlin, senior director of marketing at BuQu Tech. “There is nothing like this app out there. We all know the panic of running low on smartphone power. Used in tandem with the ChargeSmart case, the app will provide users with both power and peace of mind. The ChargeSmart app promises to change the way users interact with their smartphones.”
The ChargeSmart app will be available for free from the Apple App Store once the ChargeSmart battery case is in mass production.
Among the app’s capabilities:
The ChargeSmart Kickstarter campaign includes a tiered rewards system to encourage the online community to bring the sleek, patent-pending smartphone battery case and app to fruition. Under the system, there’s a contribution level and a premium for every contributor from priority shipment of the ChargeSmart Battery Case to a trip to CES 2014 in Las Vegas.
The ChargeSmart Kickstarter campaign features a rotating series of survey questions, each pegged to the need for the product. To respond, please visit http://www.instant.ly/s/43keo.
