Burning Bridges: Not “The Real New Album” From Bon Jovi

Burning Bridges, the new album from legendary rockers Bon Jovi, has now been available, including on iTunes, for a week – and many fans around the world have reacted positively. However, at least according to lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, this album is not a proper release, but instead a stop-gap.

In an interview on WCBS FM radio show Scott Shannon in the Morning last month, Jovi explained: “My latest is not my next”, before denying that this peculiar sentence was a riddle. He elaborated that Burning Bridges was to tie-in with the band’s new international tour, and insisted that “the new album, the real new album, will be early next year.”

The band has scheduled a number of large scale shows in Asia, including in Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, for September and October. However, if Bon Jovi won’t be performing near you as part of this tour, you can still enjoy the album – and also read more about Burning Bridges in the issue of AppleMagazine which has been released just today for iOS devices.
