Charli XCX Getting New Beats 1 Radio Show, The Candy Shop

British electropop singer-songwriter Charli XCX will have her own ongoing show on Appleโ€™s Beats 1 radio station from this Friday. The news comes on the same day that the โ€œBreak The Rulesโ€ hit-maker announced that she was launching her own label, Vroom Vroom Recordings.

The news of Charliโ€™s regular radio slot was reported by Pitchfork and then confirmed on the official Beats 1 Twitter page. According to that page, the show will be called The Candy Shop and debut at 12pm Pacific Time, 3pm Eastern Time and 8pm UK time on Friday.

In a press release, Charli dubbed Vroom Vroom Recordings โ€œan experimental pop label [which] will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness.โ€ The labelโ€™s first release will be the Vroom Vroom EP, which Charli has worked on in collaboration with SOPHIE and will be released on March 25 and streamable from Friday.
