Designer Antonio De Rosa has shared a stunning set of mockups, imagining Apple’s long-awaited virtual reality headset product. Rumored to be called Apple Glass, Antonio takes a different approach, calling the product Apple View, and it excites us for the future.
The mockups sport a look more similar to virutal reality headsets than Apple had previously envisioned, with cameras on the front of the device alongside the Apple logo. On the inside, where users’ eyes would sit, there are two screens, as well as a comfortable nose cut-out, and a fabric finish for added wearability, and an adjustable strap similar to the AirPods Max.
Apple is reportedly working on a range of virtual reality headsets set to be released in the coming years, and insiders predict that we could even see the first release before the end of 2021. Long-term, Apple wants to create a pair of glasses with augmented reality technology, but it’s predicted that the company is still a few years off releasing its ultimate ambitions.
