The restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has revealed that, from Friday, it will accept the mobile payments service Apple Pay both in-restaurant and in the Drive Thru at its various outlets in the United States.
The chicken sandwich seller made this news public in a message on its Twitter page. In the same tweet, support for Android Pay, the rival payments service available on Android handsets, was also pledged.
Yes, as of August 19th, Apple Pay and Android Pay are available for payment both in-restaurant and in the Drive Thru.

Despite August 19 having been provided as the launch date for Apple Pay support, AppleInsider says that it has been informed of โsporadic compatibility at multiple outletsโ already. In light of this, Chick-fil-A could be currently rolling out this support ahead of a US-wide launch on Friday.
At bricks and mortar merchants, Apple Pay can be used on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE and Apple Watch. The feature should also come as standard with the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch 2 expected to be formally unveiled by Apple next month.
