I’m not just talking about a few releases either. DC Comics has unveiled their entire collection of comic books, new and old, for purchase. Prices will range according to the age and complexity of a comic, but expect to pay anywhere between USD $0.99 and USD $14.99.
The company also announced that its entire lineup would be available on the Amazon and Nook networks. This is obviously a sign of the times, with both DC and Marvel moving their visual novels to a digital format. The companies have both stated that they will continue to create new content, which will be added to the digital databases. It will be interesting to see if either company starts to move into a digital mindset, as print publications are starting to slowly lose their luster.
DC Comics will continue to keep adding content to its personal app as well as its Vertigo application. It will also keep updates going for its ComiXology platform, which was widely considered the best way to get DC Comic issues. These new platforms will help to broaden DC’s horizons and will allow more users to procure comics on the platform of their choice.
