Bloomberg have all but confirmed that Apple are inviting leading developers to attend a workshop focused on finishing Apple Watch apps before the device is launched in April. The company has provided further details about the program, claiming that developers from services including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have been asked to partake in the workshops to perfect their software.
Apple has so far given little away regarding the workshop, though they have displayed the device public and released development tools. The workshop will apparently take place in a secret lab at their Cupertino headquarters. Participants aren’t being permitted to take anything into the room with them other than a hard drive containing the apps source codes. They won’t be able to take their hard drives out of the room due to Apple’s robust security measures. They will only be able to retrieve the source code in the days leading up the launch.
Apple is to show off its first wearable device on Monday at its “Spring Forward” event. They are also expected to launch iOS 8.2 on the same day and unveil the new 12-inch MacBook Air.
