Discover Hidden Features with TipKit: A New Addition in iOS 17 Apps

Apple Features

Apple’s WWDC event witnessed the exciting revelation of the new TipKit framework. This new feature will enable developers to incorporate tips within their apps on iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17. The objective behind this new tool is to help users uncover hidden features, spotlight new features, demonstrate faster ways of carrying out tasks, and much more.

These tips will be strategically placed next to a button or other user interface components within the app, popping up at opportune moments. They will provide relevant information about various features. While apps have always had the ability to offer their own tips and helpful insights, Apple is now providing a native solution that promises a more consistent design. Although there is no documentation available yet, Apple has offered a WWDC session detailing the workings of TipKit for interested developers.

Users can look forward to experiencing the benefits of TipKit later this year with the public release of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17.

Over the upcoming months, more apps are expected to incorporate TipKit. Beta versions of all these updates are currently available for anyone with a free Apple developer account, and public betas are slated for release in July.
