Apple lifted the lid on the next-generation macOS operating system yesterday, confirming that the company would transition from macOS X to macOS 11 for the first time, alongside the introduction of a stunning new design that brings together iOS and macOS more closely.

As well as a design overhaul, Apple has made some big changes to the operating system, including a huge update to Safari, and redesigned Messages and Maps apps based off of iOS code, as part of its Project Catalyst program.
