Last week, Apple unveiled the all-new iPad Air, and alongside it, some attractive new “noodle” wallpapers. AppleMagazine is offering you the chance to download them!

The star of the show at this year’s Time Flies event was undoubtedly the all-new iPad Pro, reimagined from the ground up to offer a stunning user experience on a larger 10.9-inch display, ideal for multitasking.

Apple calls the new iPad its most “powerful, versatile, and colorful” yet, with Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, praising the device’s “gorgeous new all-screen design, Liquid Retina display, Touch ID, and a massive boost in performance with A14 Bionic. “The new iPad Air brings customers powerful pro features at an even more affordable price” he said of the new iPad Air model during the keynote presentation. Bringing the Air model in line with the iPad Pro, Apple’s tablet lineup is now stronger than ever, offering consumers more ways to work and play.

Where the iPad Air really comes into its own is through performance, with the latest model offering a significant leap forward in speed and everyday performance than the previous generation. The iPad Air comes with Apple’s A14 Bionic chip, which makes it easier to edit videos in 4K, create stunning works of art with an Apple Pencil, and take advantage of the incredible games on Apple Arcade.

The chip uses breakthrough 5-nanometer process technology, which offers more than 11.8 billion transistors for increased performance and power efficiency, and because of its new 6-core design, the chip offers a 40 percent boost in CPU performance. A new 4-core graphics architecture, on the other hand, means a 30 percent improvement in graphics. The new iPad Air also sports a 16-core Neural Engine for machine learning, capable of performing an incredible 11 trillion operations per second, which makes machine learning even more efficient and effective on the iPad.

What’s more, the Air has second-generation machine learning accelerators that enable 10x faster machine learning calculations – it’s this combination that makes image recognition, natural language learning, and analyzing motion more effective, without impacting battery life or adding unnecessary weight to the device.
