Ehang 184: A Case of Science Fiction Turning Science Fact?

Of the various predictions made about 2015 in the second Back to the Future film, that of widespread use of flying cars was pretty far off the mark. Nonetheless, only a year later, the Ehang 184 suggests that this peculiar piece of science fiction could soon become a reality.

The Ehang 184 has been referred to by the Chinese company behind it, Ehang, as the world’s first autonomous helicopter drone and capable of taking one human at a time on a flying journey to a specific location pre-chosen through Google Maps. You can read more about that speculation, but also why the Ehang 184 shows a lot of promise, in the new issue of AppleMagazine. Download our free app to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch before following the instructions to subscribe to our digital periodical.
