Apple recently posted a new ad on its YouTube channel showcasing the enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capabilities of its second-generation AirPods Pro. The one-minute video highlights how the upgraded ANC feature provides up to double the noise cancellation compared to the first-generation AirPods Pro.
Launched in September 2022, the second-generation AirPods Pro have garnered positive reviews for their advanced features, especially the ANC function. The improved noise-canceling feature allows users to fully immerse themselves in their music or podcasts without external noise distractions. Moreover, the superior audio quality offers a more detailed and richer listening experience.
The ad, set to Tkay Maidza’s “Where Is My Mind?” features a woman navigating a noisy city wearing her AirPods Pro. With the ANC feature activated, she effortlessly blocks out the surrounding sounds, focusing solely on her music or podcast.
Retailing at $249, the second-generation AirPods Pro come with several enhancements compared to their predecessors. These include superior audio quality, extended battery life, swipe-based volume control, and a refined skin-detect sensor for precise audio playback control.
Furthermore, the updated charging case now has a built-in speaker and U1 chip for Find My support. The AirPods Pro case can also be charged using an Apple Watch charger, along with the earlier Lightning and MagSafe charging options.
Recent research indicates that the second-generation AirPods Pro made up 63% of all AirPods shipments in Q4 2022, making them the most popular AirPods during the holiday shopping season. In contrast, the AirPods 3 experienced weaker demand despite featuring several of Apple’s latest innovations.
