In the year 2023, with the assistance of modern technology, streaming services are more popular than ever as they are incredibly convenient, and you can watch your favorite TV shows and films on demand without adhering to a TV schedule.

In fact, with so many options nowadays when it comes to streaming services, Apple TV+ stands out in particular as it has become one of the biggest streaming platforms in recent years, attracting major stars and TV shows being launched by critics.

Firstly, although it may appear that Apple TV+ has been around forever, it has only been offering us quality entertainment for a few years.

First launching in 2016, Apple Inc. began to produce and distribute its own original content and has accumulated more popularity ever since. In particular, it is best known for its wide array of tv shows and films that are produced every year.

Even though Apple TV+ pulled out of talks to buy rights to the NFL streaming rights, fans of NFL fantasy can tune into Fantasy Football Today, an interactive show which gives the viewer the best possible chance of dominating their league.

Upcoming shows

There is a lot of upcoming entertainment appearing on streaming including a wide range of TV shows.

‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ is a thriller series that is coming to Apple TV+ that centers on the relationship between a woman played by Jennifer Garner and her stepdaughter played by Angourie Rice as they attempt to piece together why her husband has disappeared.

It is set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, April 14, 2023, followed by new episodes every Friday through May 19.

Based on a popular novel of the same name,  the eight-episode series premieres on May 12 and features actors such as Wyatt Oleff, Chase Sui Wonders, and John Cameron Mitchell.

It is a perfect watch for those crime fanatics as it delves into the world of gangs in Hong Kong and is incredibly fast paced.

Starring Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoë Chao the series will also witness new stars such as John Cho, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Woods, Poppy Liu, and Elizabeth Perkins appear on our screens.

Season 2 will take a similar but different approach to season 1 as the groom dies in a wedding party and people must find out who committed the crime.

Another reason why you should consider getting an Apple TV is because of one of the new launches in 2023 ‘Masters of the Air’. Made by Amblin Television under the guidance of Steven Spielberg’s company, the show boasts actors such as Austin Butler who will be playing the main role in the series.

Fans of the world of cinematography can also look forward to the creative aspect of this series as No Time To Die and True Detective director Cary Joji Fukunaga will be directing the first three episodes with the support of other experts in the field of directing such as Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who were involved with  Captain Marvel.

The show chronicles the travails of the US Army’s Eighth Air Force, the American bomber force that took the fight against Nazi Germany and is a perfect watch for those history buffs who also have a keen interest in the world of aircraft and flying.

It will take place over nine parts and the budget of the show is predicted to be over $7 million, partially due to the bespoke WWII US airbase being built specifically for the series.

Ultimately, when it comes to streaming services Apple TV+ sticks out in terms of convenience and variety. As there are more shows and films set to be released in 2023, we have a lot to look forward to.
