Millions of people around the world are naturally excited about the new Star Wars film, Episode VII – The Force Awakens, set to hit cinemas in December. These people seem to include the staff at renowned London-based attraction Madame Tussauds, as it will this month see the opening of a new exhibition featuring many of the most famous Star Wars scenes and characters recreated in wax.
There are 11 scenes in total, which were worked on by over 180 sculptors and include Anakin Skywalker dramatically fighting Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar, Han Solo and Chewbacca in the Millennium Falcon, and Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader duelling as Emperor Palpatine watches. There is even perhaps the most famous scene in movie history, where Darth Vader reveals to Luke Skywalker that he is his father.
Walt Disney Co and Lucasfilm have both had close involvement with the setting up of the exhibition – which, if you are planning a trip to the British capital soon, you will be able to see for yourself when it officially opens on 16 May.
