Facebook iOS App Now Allows Video Streaming to Apple TV

Facebook has announced that it is now possible to stream videos from its iOS app directly to an Apple TV – allowing you to take advantage of your television’s much larger display.

If you have an iOS device – with, naturally, the free Facebook app installed – and an Apple TV connected to the same wireless network, you can stream a video by selecting it in News Feed or from the Saved tab, at which point you can tap a TV symbol that appears in the top right corner.

The app will then offer to send that video to an Apple TV – through which, if it’s a Facebook Live video you are streaming, you can follow real-time reactions and comments as they appear on your television screen and also add your own reactions and comments to the conversation.
