Facebook Messenger Gets Big Update on Windows 10 Mobile

Facebook has just sent out a big update to its Messenger app on Windows 10 Mobile. As well as a new design, users can enjoy sending photos, creating groups, getting notifications and much more.

MSPoweruser reports that Facebook has been testing this revamped version of the app for months beforehand – and we reckon that owners of Windows 10 Mobile devices will be delighted with the results. Videos, GIFs and stickers can all be sent within conversations, while forwarding messages or photos to people not involved in the original conversation is also possible.

It’ll be particularly hard to miss a message with Facebook Messenger; not only can you receive the kind of notifications that iOS and Android users benefit from, you can also see messages waiting for you in a live tile from the device’s main screen.

The updated app, which can also be used on Windows 10 computers and Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 devices, is now free to download from the Windows Store.
